Scripture Cards - 1 Peter 5:7

My first attempt on Scripture cards. Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7

Father's Day Handmade Cards

Here are two Daddy Day cards. This was a request from a friend and I made these for her. I enjoyed making these and hope she likes it.  I made thiscard for a 11 year old boy to give to his daddy on Daddy's Day. I embossed the starts on a patterned paper and highlighted them with enamel ink.  While the following card is for an older dad. I made a pocket on the card and an insert with a tab that reads # 1.

He Is Risen - Easter Greetings

Every year I usually send out Easter greeting cards. But this year along with Easter cards I also made this simple bookmarks too. I used the masking technique and a stamp and some colour. That's it.

Catchy Challenges - Jan Season II

India will be celebrating her 63rd Republic Day this year on the 26th January.  Here's a card to commemorate the day. I used the Indian flag colours on these doilies and assembled them to reflect the Indian flag. Since I didn't have a stamp that would go with the theme so I just used one of Mahatma Gandhi's quotes, "Where there is love there is life". (Please excuse my hand writing).  Entering this card into the Catchy Challenges - January Season II

I am a "Guest Designer"

Well this happened a couple of weeks ago. A dear friend of mine emailed me - sharing that she was going to host a Challenge Blog starting from 2013. I was excited for her. I have known her for sometime now and I regularly follow her craft blog and videos. I know her to be an inspiring and talented crafter. After sometime she emailed me again and asked me to be her Guest Designer . Well, I was excited and but December being the busiest month with Christmas, travelling and family around I told her I can be her February. Can't make it to be her January. To cut the long story short she insisted and I agreed.  I was leaving Penang (where all my craft stuff lay) on the 12th  so I thought to finish this project before that and send it to her. But it didn't happen. I totally forgot about it. When I got to Sibu I had nothing with me. I didn't know what to use. I prayed and asked God to help. Well he is our creator he created us and every thing around us. So he got to help me crea...

Just Because Cards

Cards I made for my sister. She graduated from The School of ACTS on the 11th November 2012. And she asked me to make few cards to give her friends. So here is what I came up in the short time and the little material I had here in KL. I would also like to congratulate her on her Graduation. CONGRATS BINNY...!!

POPULAR IS NEW IN TOWN

I was drawn to the crafting world by my mentors and friends. It ' s interesting to know how the art of making s imple cards and sending greetings across has now become a huge industry. It's not just about the message or the greeting anymore. Now this field has a new set of vocabulary like patterned papers, embellishments, b lings, glitters, various inks, Washi tapes, big shot, Cricut and so on and has taken the world of scrapbooking into a different dimension (of course for GOOD!!) Well, it is so easy to find these materials in USA, England and Australia at affordable prices with a wide variety to choose from w hile the crafters here in Malaysia face the scarcity of such perks. They either look for materials in local station e ry stores or order stuff online which could be expensive. While digging for some stuff I found many Malaysian bloggers with same interest and also links to where I can get these things so, I have decided to check out these few craft stores in a...

Father's day

As I am at my mom' right now and I do not have any craft stuff to make cards. But this was an important one. I have never made Father's Day card. But this year God has given me reason to make one, for I am blessed to have a father-in-law who cares so much. So of course it calls for a celebration. So here is a Dad's card from the material (wraping papers and other card stock) I found at my mom'. Birthday Wishes with Fairy

Here is my second post for today. I am following the sketch challenge from The Craft's Meow May Challenge. Love their sketches (though this is my first ever entry) and this month's challenge is sketched by Nina . Well, my cousin will be celebrating her 12th birthday next month. This sketch inspired me to make her a beautiful birthday card (which I'll have to post soon enough to reach her before her birthday with her gift).  So yeah, thanks to The Craft's Meow for this challenge. And here's my take on the sketch (please excuse my picture taking skills!!). Also, a new friend is giving away a Blog Candy, celebrating her 100 followers on Blogger. So, do check out her page and show some love at A Lil Piece of Heaven

A Sketch: BGC 8

I was so excited when I saw the BGC challenge for this fortnight. I guess, I do like following sketches... sometimes it's just nice and simple and sometimes it takes up the entire challenge time. Well, here is the sketch that we were to follow.   And here's my take on the given sketch...

Scrapbook for Grandma's 80th Birthday..!!

It indeed is a blessing to celebrate a life and celebrate God's goodness and faithfulness. It's not just the long life we celebrate but His love, mercies, blessings and overwhelming grace.  My Grandma is a retired primary school teacher. Hundreds of students have studied under her and it is such a joy to invest into someones life. She has always inspired me, her love and energy with the kids at school and with kids at home too. I Guess me and my siblings were not very easy bunch of kids - we were trouble makers, hyper active and loud. But looking back at our childhood it is her we reminisce. My cousins were also the ones who were nurtured under her. And the most blessed is the one who is still being directed, nurtured and matured under her wing. Many times people question the meaning and point of life - I guess it is when you live till the end is when you find answers. Well, so my siblings and me decided to do something different to commemorate her, and the idea of mak...

Spring Blossoms

Guess this is what I do lately when I have spare time. Helps with depression  and keeps me busy. Well this is for Freshly Made Sketches .  I had fun making this one. I used a paper doily to make that flower. Used patterned paper from Simply Cards and Papercrafts: The Botanical Collection and Kate Knight: Totally Tropical Summer papers (both were my free gifts). Card stock is from the local store. I guess, that's it. And here's my take... Freshly Made Sketches 32

Casual Spring: CFC50

This is my first entry to CAS-ual Fridays .  Love all the cards done by the DT. They are just so fabulous and really sets you in the "spring" mood. It has been raining cats and dogs here in Penang. Can't wait for some sunshine. Well, I love the 'Spring is in the air' and the 'April showers'. Material used: Well card stocks and stamps from local stationary shop. Ink from Versafine Onyx Black for the flower stamps and Versa Color Green for the sentiment. The green, orange, blue and yellow are squared at 3cms. And that's it.

I made this card for my Mom's Birthday last year. But forgot to upload it. I made the same card for my Mom-in-law too. She loved the card but I guess moreover she loved our surprise visit and celebrating her birthday with her.

Counting Blessings

Last month my husband and I celebrated our very first Wedding Anniversary. A very memorable day to celebrate. Not just celebrating our union but also celebrating God's favor upon both of us since long time. We also celebrate our family and friends who have supported us in many ways and stood by us through trials. As I was going through some of my wedding gifts I received last year I came across some thing that I have always treasured and will always treasure and I would like to share it here with you all.  (from: Angeline)  (From my Matron of Honour :  Handmade by Josephine )  (From my Matron of Honour:  Handmade by Laura )   These are the love and expression of heart felt wishes. It over whelms me to know how much effort has been put into these. Thank you for the Joy you guys bring our way.
